PASSION PFERD 2025: Where the market meets knowledge and experience
From 4 to 7 December 2025, Hanover will once again take centre stage in the equestrian world: PASSION PFERD will be held for the second time. Following its premiere last year, the event has established itself as an independent platform that brings the entire industry together. Under this year's motto ‘EXPO. EDUCATION. EXPERIENCE.’, it combines market overview, knowledge transfer and live experiences to provide a comprehensive picture of the current equestrian scene.

In the EXPO area, numerous exhibitors present the entire spectrum of the industry. Spread across seven halls, the range of products on offer extends from stable technology and feeding to care and health products, saddles, bridles, riding helmets, clothing and transport solutions. Larger investments such as stable facilities and riding halls are also represented. Anyone who wants to find out more, compare products or talk to manufacturers and suppliers will find an extraordinary variety of offers here. This makes the trade fair a showcase for products and services related to horses and riders.
EDUCATION represents the technical core of the event. Lectures, discussion panels and demonstrations highlight topics such as animal welfare, prevention and health, training methods and innovative forms of husbandry. With the equiVital forum and expert demonstration ring, a large area of VITALWELT is dedicated specifically to horse health. The ‘Fit4Ride’ area focuses on further training and education for riders and riding posture, which is fundamental to the interaction between horse and rider.
The special show ‘Horse.Future.Stable.’ is dedicated to visionary stable technology with a focus on the welfare of the horse. In an active stable built specifically for the exhibition hall, visitors can experience forward-looking solutions that make innovative horse husbandry more efficient, animal-friendly and sustainable – presented by high-calibre partners. The area is aimed not only at trade visitors such as horse businesses, but also at any rider who cares about the welfare and husbandry of horses.
The third focus, EXPERIENCE, brings the experience to the stage. This includes the large, established shows with international participation, ‘Night of the Horses’ and ‘MiMaMo’, which have been an integral part of the trade fair in Hanover for years, as well as the show by and with Hella Gabbert.
Every year, PASSION PFERD attracts renowned trainers to Hanover: experts such as Katja Schnabel, Britta Rasche-Merkt, Peer & Jenny, Bernd Hackl, Luuk Teunissen, Julia Krajewski and Christoph Hess demonstrate their approaches in masterclasses on training and communication, but topics such as trust, ground work and mental strength in the saddle are also taught in a practical manner.
New this year is the X-treme Trail with its obstacles, which challenge the coordination and balance of both horse and rider and demonstrate how partnership and trust can work. There are separate areas with demonstration rings and a Finostrip for the special riding styles of Western riding and Icelandic horses.
With ‘Hallo Pferd’ (Hello Horse), the fair is aimed specifically at children and families. In cooperation with the Hanover Equestrian Association, the format aims to familiarise young people with horses at an early age and show them in a playful way what is important when dealing with animals. The aim is to inspire enthusiasm, but at the same time to raise awareness of responsibility, safety and animal welfare. This gives even the youngest visitors their own access to horses – practical, vivid and child-friendly. Of course, a hobbyhorsing interactive course is a must here.
The programme is complemented by the Vision Hub at the weekend with its Vision Stage. Here, the focus is on talk panels, interviews and discussion rounds – on social, sporting or cultural issues relating to horses.
Two special highlights are the new stage shows by well-known content creators from the equestrian scene: the live podcast with ‘Dings & Bums’ (Lisa Kestel and Kristin Connors) with insights into their everyday life with horses (‘Ponyalarm’) and a rousing best-of programme from show star, singer-songwriter, breeder and content creator Patrick Thomalla.
The second edition of PASSION PFERD is intended as an overview of the industry's offerings and developments and as a forum for exchange and further education. Manufacturers and service providers, clubs and associations, industry players and interested members of the public come together here and have the opportunity to learn about products in detail, seek advice and compare different approaches. The triad concept of EXPO, EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE forms the framework in which expertise and entertainment, information and emotion, market and culture come together.
Various themed days round off the programme surrounding the trade fair.
The venue is the Hanover Exhibition Centre, and PASSION PFERD is open daily from 4 to 7 December from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and until 6 p.m. on Sunday. The trade fair thus offers a packed programme over four days, while also providing space for encounters and discussion. As a preview of 2026 and next year's planned international indoor horse show ADVENT CLASSICO, four show jumping competitions up to class S will also take place as a highlight for all competitive riders as part of this year's PASSION PFERD.
