Sustainable strategies for stable operators in the face of extreme weather and global feed chains
Horse husbandry is facing unprecedented changes. Climate change, extreme weather conditions and increasing uncertainty in domestic roughage production are presenting stable operators with complex challenges. In this three-hour specialist conference, we will examine the consequences of rising temperatures, periods of drought and heavy rainfall on horse farms and work together to develop solutions to meet future challenges in a sustainable manner.
There will be a particular focus on practical adaptation measures: How can intelligent shading improve the stable climate and protect horse health? Which surface water drainage systems prevent damage to stables and pastures? And how can water conservation and management become a decisive success factor in the sustainable use of resources and securing feed production?
We will also discuss the role of feed imports from around the world as a response to the increasing scarcity of regionally produced roughage. We will provide insights into current developments, present possible solutions and invite open discussion. The aim is to provide stable operators with tools they can use to make their businesses climate-resilient and sustainable.

Between the stable and social media: successful customer communication, stress management and sustainability for equine service providers
Service providers in the equine sector – whether therapists, trainers or coaches – work in a demanding professional field. You work with sensitive animals, encounter emotionally involved owners and, at the same time, are under increasing pressure from rising expectations, growing competition and social media. Everyday life requires not only technical expertise, but also communication skills, professional customer management, sustainable strategies and good self-care. This three-hour training course focuses on the specific challenges of customer relations.
Course content:
Customer communication and customer management: How can expectations be managed realistically, conflicts resolved constructively and long-term, sustainable relationships of trust built?
Stress management: Which strategies help you maintain your own balance in a demanding professional environment, allocate resources sustainably and prevent overload?
Challenges posed by social media: Opportunities and risks of digital visibility – from professional self-marketing to dealing with criticism and shitstorms. The rule of thumb is: ‘Being famous on social media is like being rich in Monopoly’ – reach alone is no substitute for genuine, sustainable customer loyalty.
